Lorenzo High School Spanish Club would like to announce that
they are currently trying to raise money to help rebuild Lockney
High School. If you would like to donate to the cause, you can do
so in the high school office. There have also been several
canisters placed at various local businesses. Please show your
support in rebuilding Lockney High School.
Lorenzo Junior High Lady Hornets traveled to Cotton Center on
Thursday, January 29th. They defeated the Lady Elks 26-22. The
offensive contributors included Mica Castillo with eight points,
Sylvia Alcala with six, Janielle Caballero with four, Miracle
Sanchez with two, Maricel Rodriquez with two, and Chrysa Martin
with two. Sylvia Alcala led in assists while Janielle Caballero led
on the defensive end with the most steals.
The following Monday the Lady Hornets played their last home game
against Amherst. The girls played hard, but ended the game defeated
with a score of 29-10. Janielle Caballero had a bucket and two free
throws. Miracle Sanchez hit two shots from the block for a total of
four, and Alexis Hupe knocked down two free throws. Sylvia Alcala
led the team in steals while Janielle Caballero pulled down the
most rebounds. The Lady Hornets will travel to Whitharral to face
their last opponent of the season.
